The great thing about the story of a church is that you can enter into it too. Your personal story can be an important part of who we become.

So here’s the story of SRPC. You’re welcome to jump in with yours!

september 1995

The dream to start a church in the booming community of San Ramon emerged out of the visionary leadership of Community Presbyterian Church in Danville.

FEBRUARY 1996

The leadership of Community Presbyterian Church approved the initiative to plant a church in San Ramon.

JANUARY 1997

A visionary covenant was signed by founding members of San Ramon Presbyterian Church (SRPC!) with Ed Blake approved as Organizing Pastor.

MARCH 2004

After a significant fundraising effort and the gifts and skills of dedicated members, a massive remodel of a 24 Hour Fitness Center was completed.

SRPC began holding services at our current location on Alcosta Blvd.

FEBRUARY 2007

Rev. Ed Blake resigned as Senior Pastor.

Rev J. Scott Downing served as Interim Pastor while the search for a new Senior Pastor was conducted.

NOVEMBER 2008

Rev. Downing was called and installed as Senior Pastor of SRPC and served until July, 2014.

NOVEMBER 2014

A new Mission Statement for SRPC is established;

The Mission of SRPC is to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus.

JULY 2015

Rev. Mark Wollan is called as the Senior Pastor of SRPC.

We embrace and engage our mission priorities of; personal ministry, creative worship and growing a life-long faith for kids and students.

MARCH 2020

In 2020, SRPC faced the challenge of COVID 19 and discovered new ministry opportunities. SRPC Livestream was launched, we collaborated with other local churches and provided emergency food aid, and SRPC’s Tutoring ministry emerged.

We have a new Sunday worship space, sharing a beautiful sanctuary and campus with a local Nazarene Church. SRPC has also moved into new office space strategically located near a site where hundreds of new homes are being built. We are ready for the next season of ministry.
