San Ramon Presbyterian is part of a larger “family” of churches called:

The Evangelical Presbyterian Church (EPC). The EPC has nearly 700 churches throughout the country and a global commitment to share God’s love. A summary of some of our core beliefs or “Essentials” are listed below.

A more complete version can be found here.

We are bound together as churches with this motto:
In Essentials...Unity
In Non-Essentials...Liberty
In All Things...Charity

ONE GOD

We believe in one God, the Creator and Sustainer of all things. God exists in three Persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ

Jesus was a real person who was both fully God and fully human.

Jesus died on a cross but three days later, he rose from the dead!

More than just a good person to imitate, faith in Jesus gives anyone who believes the assurance of eternal life.

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit reminds us of the new life we have by faith in Jesus. The Spirit empowers us for service to God, others and the world.

Grace

We can’t do enough or work hard enough to “earn” heaven. Eternal life is a gift of grace that we simply accept and receive by faith!

The Church

The Church is composed of all people over all time, who have put their faith in Jesus.

The visible expression of the Church (which is far from perfect!) is local congregations. In the local church, God’s Word is preached and loving community and connection is experienced.

All People, Everywhere

Jesus commissioned believers to tell others about him. We’re compelled by God’s love to proclaim the Gospel to all people, everywhere!
