What are Mark’s reasons for retiring?
Mark shared his thoughts with the Congregation on April 30th.

How long will Mark continue to be the Pastor?
Mark plans to continue in his role as Senior Pastor at SRPC until the end of 2023.

During this transition, will there be any changes for Pastor Mike and Pastor Don?
No change. Mike and Don will continue in their current roles during the transition.

During this transition, will there be any changes to staff or organization?
No change. Staff and organization stay the same during the transition.

Can you give us an overview of the search process?
A Pastor Search Committee has been formed. They are charged with putting materials together for a pastoral search. This includes the Church Information Form (CIF). EPC and other networks will be used in the search. The Congregation will receive regular updates on where we are in the process and progress.

Who are the members of the Pastor Search Committee?
Bob Schepman, Dave Wilson, Lena Frazee, Mark Miller, Mike Goldsmith, Steve Liao, and Tracy Stracke. You can review all the Bios here.

What is the typical time for finding a new pastor?
Every search is different but can range from six to eighteen months.

What will happen with the Christ Community Church (CCC) relationship?
No change. We have contractual agreements with CCC on our use of the facilities that continue.

What happens to Mark after a new Pastor is found?
Mark will need to step away from SRPC for one year. The new Pastor will build a relationship with the congregation during this time. Mark and Julie plan to stay in the area and be part of the local community.
